I have moved into my new home and I love it! I am still unpacking boxes but I think I can see an end. Life always looks brighter when we can see an end to parts of life that aren’t as pleasant as others.

We can endure most anything if we see an end in sight. It is when we can’t see an end that life seems overwhelming. That is a time when we can design mini-ends. I would do that with my unpacking by saying, “Today, I will have this room completely done.” There was no way I could look at the entire house and think of what it would take to complete it but I could find a mini-end for the day.

What about you? Is there something in your life that is unpleasant and seems like it will go on forever?

Create one mini-end to part of it and when accomplished, create another one. Sometimes it is vital to create ends as well as beginnings.

About three months ago, I wanted to share Outrageous Mastery® with more people around the world quicker than we were currently doing. I also wanted to increase our revenues so we could hire more people to help with the massive amount of projects we have.

HERE IS THE RESULT:

1. In two months we doubled our income.
2. In three months we doubled it again.
3. In four months we doubled it again.

Here is an example of what that looks like using monetary figures.

Let’s say our company was bringing in $10,000 a month initially.

Doubling that once would mean we began bringing in $20,000 a month.

Doubling it twice meant we would be bringing in $40,000 a month.

Doubling it a third time meant we would be bringing in $80,000 a month.

These are fictional numbers because I don’t want to use the real ones but you get an idea of how powerful the creation was.

HOW DID I DO IT?

1. I put the exact figures I wanted to create in my Moment of Outrageous Mastery® (M.O.M.).
2. I also added this statement to my M.O.M., “Tell me how to get _______ new readers and $_______!”
3. Each day as I did my M.O.M. I would jot down the answer I got that day. I ended up with about ten items on my list and I was adamant about doing what I was directed to do.
4. I kept a short journal and I wrote every day for a few minutes what I would feel like and what my life and business would look like once I achieved these goals.

There is magic in our Moments of Outrageous Mastery®. I hope you are each doing yours daily.

My possessions are on a truck and on their way to Texas. Moving is not something most of us look forward to but I am grateful that this move went so smoothly.

Having learned years ago to plan well in advance and not wait until the last minute, I arranged for people to come to my house almost two months ago and begin packing up my belongings. Everything was ready and organized when the truck came to pick It up.

I had a wonderful crew of men that loaded everything and they had a lot of laughs along the way. I served them pizza and pop – so nutritious. Joe, my son-in-law has lifted weights for years and I told him we could now see if all those muscles really worked – or if they were just for show.

When they went to move one of my sofas, eleven $100 bills flew out. They were honest and brought them to me. The truck driver absolutely refused to let me pay him for organizing the loading. What I had previously calculated would be a day that cost me $1000+, turned out to be a day where I gained a net $500. Not bad!

What I have found is that when you direct your creations, they usually turn out better than you expect!

Do you ever struggle with disciplining your children?

I am at my daughter, Lisa’s home in Sacramento, California and I want to share with you an innovative way she has begun to discipline the two oldest of her three young children.

Julietta is seven years old and Katerina is five. Like most children they tease and fight with each other on occasion. Katerina (Nina) is always full of energy and if she isn’t actively doing something she will find someone to torment – usually her older sister or younger brother.

My daughter realized that her method of discipline needed to include a way for Nina to use up her extra energy – so Lisa’s method of discipline has been to have them either run laps around the inside of the house or run up and down the stairs a given number of times.

Not only do they have to do laps or run up and down stairs, they have to continually say what it is they will not do again.

So this is what I hear quite often during my visit: Little feet running up and down the stairs or through the kitchen and family room while their little mouths are saying something like, “I will not hit my sister. I will not hit my sister. I will not hit my sister.”

Now, from my vantage point, it is hilarious and totally adorable and it is all I can do to not laugh while I watch it. But, you should know that it is effective! So I thought I would share this brilliant idea with you. It may help you create more peace in your home. (And maybe a bit more laughter.)
